{11 Month Update}

Holy cats, I cannot believe I am writing Anna's 11 month update!  How dare she grow up so quick on us! :)  I cannot believe that a month from now our little lady will be a year old!!!  Bob and I were thinking back this weekend to a year ago and how different our lives are since Anna joined our world...we wouldn't change the craziness of parenthood for anything!  Anna is ridiculously funny, crazy, and lovable, all at the same time!

So at 11 months, Anna...

...Wears 12 - 18 month clothing

...Has officially grown out of her infant carrier....due to her length she was probably ready to transition out like a month ago, but I don't think mom and dad were quite ready yet....seriously, where do I put her in the morning while I am getting ready to leave without her pulling out all the tupperware?

..Takes 3 bottles a day and eats lots of fruit, cheese, pastas, yogurt, crackers, beans, chicken....pretty much will try anything we put in front of her.

...Goes down around 8 and sleeps until 6 or 7 each morning...and on a normal day takes two 2 hour naps

...Has 8 teeth and quite the cute smile:)

...Can stand up in the middle of a room with no assistance...

...Has started to take those wobbly couple of first steps...

...Knows the word "no" and shakes her head back and forth when you say it - so cute.

...Waves bye-bye and reaches out when she wants something she sees.

..Says "Da" for daddy and "Ma Ma Ma" for mommy, although I am convinced "Ma Ma Ma" is equivalent to bubbas (bottle), nukseys (pacifier) and me....

...Loves to ride the merry go round at Bay Beach and playing in her kiddie pool in the backyard.

...Is quite the social butterfly...she LOVES people and quite the little personality is starting to emerge.

...Happy 11 month birthday Miss Anna Bananna - we love you to pieces!!!

{New England was Wicked Fun!}

I am happy to share that Bob, Anna, and I are all home safe and sound after a week of touring New England.  Anna and I left with my parents last Thursday morning and stayed out there for a week and Bob joined us late Thursday night and came back to Green Bay this past Monday.  Unfortunately, due to a couple of big projects Bob is working on at work, he couldn't be away for as long as we were, but we were very excited he was still able to join us for a good chunk of the vacation and celebrate our first Father's Day with Anna out there as well.  (On a side note - Bob it working his tail off at work right now and still comes home every day with a big smile on his face -  Anna and I couldnt be more proud to have him as our number one man in our lives - Happy Father's Day sweetie!  Thank you for all you do for us - we love you!!!)

We ate, shopped, and toured our way through New England.  A few of the highlights include...

Bob, Michele, Mike and my dad went to the Brewer/Red Sox last Friday night.  If you watched the game on FSN, you may have spotted them in the stands wearing a cheesehead!   They were sitting in the 3rd row along the first base line and were thrilled to learn they made a few appearances on TV that night!  Thanks Michele for getting such awesome seats - Bob was in heaven!!!

The next day, my parents, Bob, Anna and I spent the day in Boston and took in the madness as the Bruins had won the Stanley Cup a few days before and there were big celebrations going on downtown.  We walked around, shopped at Faneuil Hall, went to the NE aquarium (where we stood behind Corey Hart in line!) and went down to the North End for pizza and gelato.  It was an awesome day and so fun to take Anna around and take all the commotion in.  She even rode her first merry go round....and LOVED it!

The rest of the vacation was spent up north on Michele and Mike's boat and we spent a day in Kennebunkport.  Anna even had the opportunity to dip her toes in the Atlantic Ocean....but boy, was it was cold!!!

I have to say, overall Anna traveled great on the trip.  While it wasn't her first plane ride, she is certainly more active and on the move now more than she was last time, so I was a little nervous taking her on the plane,  as I wasn't sure what to expect this time around, but she did absolutely awesome!  Such a social little butterfly, Anna seems to make many friends wherever she goes and this trip was no different.  All in all, Anna traveled by plane, subway, boat, and bus...certainly a veteran traveler now:)  An speaking of on the move...in the hotel in Boston, Anna stood up on her own without assistance and took her first wobbly two little steps!  She immediately falls down as it is hard for us to contain our excitement, and I think our cheering and clapping probably scares her, but has continue to practice this new trick ever since!
Big thanks to Michele and Mike for the awesome hospitality and to my parents for helping me travel with Anna - we had such an awesome trip!  Enjoy a few of our favorite pictures below!

{Mighty Mite Anna!}

That's right, Anna is officially a "Mighty Mite" in the world of YMCA swimming:)  Last Friday, Anna graduated from her first swim class and is ready to be a "Perch" this fall.  Overall, we really enjoyed our first swim class and Anna seems to really love the water.  We went to class at the Y in Bellevue, and while it was a little bit of a drive, this class fit well with our schedule.  Class mostly consisted of singing songs, getting use to being in the water, playing with toys, and meeting other kids.  On her last class of the session, the kiddos each got to go down the big water slide and play with all the fun water park type equipment.  I think the slide was probably a tad overwhelming for our little "Mighty Mite", but there were no tears or complaining, so I think she liked it:)  Our summer has proved to be just a tad bit busy, so we are probably going to take the summer off, and start back up again this fall.  Below are some pictures from our last class!

Getting use to the water!

Time to go in!

Singing the Welcome song...

"I'm a little pancake on my belly, I'm a little pancake covered in jelly"

Time to go down the slide - I will admit, I was terrfied to take her down, but we survived and even did it twice:)

Most classes consisted of Anna chewing on toys!

{Minnesota Love}

Bob, Anna, and I spent Memorial Day Weekend in Minnesota visiting Bob's brother and family.  We had a wonderful weekend - big thanks to Ben, Haley, and the boys for such a fun time!  I am happy to report that Anna did wonderful traveling...she slept almost the whole way there and the majority of the ride home.  Our weekend started on Friday with Anna's swim class - Bob was off Friday as well so he got to come along and watch Anna strut her stuff in the pool.  We headed out after that and got into Minnesota around 4:30.  We enjoyed catching up with everyone and having dinner before heading to the hotel for the night.  Saturday we went to the Minnesota Zoo in the morning and had such an awesome time with the kids...the weather was great and the zoo was so nice...Neither Bob nor I had been there and were really impressed with all the exhibits and everything they had for kids (and the adults) to do and see.  Anna really got into seeing the animals and taking it all in.

Saturday night and Sunday morning we spent poolside swimming at the hotel.  Our hotel had a water slide and needless to say, both the kids and the adults enjoyed it:)

We left Sunday after lunch and were able to get back to Green Bay to pick up the puppies in time for dinner at Bob's parents house before finally heading home.

Below are some pictures from our fun mini vacay this past weekend, as well as a video of Anna "feeding" the goats...we look forward to going back this fall to meet "Baby H" :)
