{Anna's First Pumpkin Carving!}

Today we got to carve pumpkins for the first time and needless to say Anna's favorite part was digging into the gooey part of the pumpkin and once she got into it she was such a big helper seperating out the pumpkin seeds so we could roast them!  Carving pumpkins is not exactly my cup of tea (oh, the mess!!!) and I cannot even remember the last time I did it, but I must say they turned out pretty well!  Big thanks to Lois and Papa Paul for helping us out!!!!

Anna making her newest face at Papa Paul - love it!

Not so sure about this!

Anna and Bob with the final works of art!

Today was a very exciting day for another reason - we were thrilled to learn Elizabeth and Brett got engaged!!!  Brett proposed up in Door County and they are both very very very excited!  (As are we!)  Bob and I are so excited to celebrate both Elizabeth and Bretts wedding in 2013 as well as Ann and Brads - it is going to be a very good year!  Lots of love you guys - you're the best!!!

Congratulations Liz and Brett!!!! - Such a cute couple!

{15 Month Update}

After a two month hiatus on the monthly updates, I thought I better take the time to write down all the fun things Anna has been delighting us with recently.  With each passing day, Anna seems to get just a little bit busier, if that is even possible, so it is hard to find the time to jot down all of her latest tricks…
So, at 15 months, Anna….

...Is obsessed with having anything we have – whether it is the TV remote, a cell phone, a drink, a snack, it doesn’t matter, if we have it she has to have it as well.

...Likes to play the Elmo’s Monster Mash App on my phone – keeps her busy on shopping trips when she gets a little antsy…

...Is absolutely 100% in love with her bath…she would play in the tub for hours with the same 6 toys if we would let her…that or turn into a prune!

...Waves bye-bye when we or anyone else for that matter gets in a car….

...Loves to give kisses….by far my most favorite of Anna’s “tricks”

,,,Broke 4 molars this past month, which brings us to a total of 12 teeth!!!

...Is in major LOVE with puppies.  In fact, puppy was Anna’s first official word!  While it seems every four legged creature is a puppy, she can spot an actual puppy a mile away and squeals with delight when she sees one.  She loves to play “tug” with them, which typically results in Oscar or Belle dragging her across the family room while she squeals with delightJ  She loves to hug them, lay on them, kiss them, she honestly cannot get enough of “puppies.”  I will admit I was a little disappointed when I sat down to show Anna our wedding album and she pointed to my mother and said, “puppy?”

...In addition to puppy, Anna says mama, da (dad), Uh oh, and there.

...Thinks it is absolutely hystarical when she gives "tickles" and with that adorable laugh that follows, you cannot help but crack up!

...Is a fairly good eater…WHEN SHE IS NOT IN HER HIGHCHAIR!…She really is not a fan of sitting in a high chair for longer than 10 minutes, unless Sesame Street is on…but when she does eat, she loves eggs and ham for breakfast (with the occasional french toast stick or waffle thrown in), hot dogs, mac and cheese, any sort of pasta casserole, PICKLES, cheese, corn, all kinds of fruits, she absolutely loves Festivals Greek Feta pasta salad from the deli.

...I absolutely cannot get enough of her walking around the house, waving her hands all around, and squealing out – da, da, da, da, da, da….If only we knew what was going on in that little world of hers!

...She loves to dance - aka bop up and down to the beat of music and “spin”, while pivoting on one foot.

...Misplaces everything in the house…More often than not, I have lost my phone, contacts, the remote, etc…for some reason the PAM spray from the pantry is CONSTANTLY missing (I have lost 3!) and I love when I come across something that I was so frustrated trying to find…like in the
refrigerator or some other crazy place like that, and I cannot help but smile…She certainly keeps us on our toes!

We are looking forward to spending this weekend getting ready for our annual Halloween party next weekend and doing some stuff around the house...the decorations are set and the costumes are (almost) ready - we are looking forward to carving pumpkins with Anna and enjoying Halloween and all the fun that comes with it with Annas next weekend!

Below are some pictures we took from our recent trip to a pumpkin patch - The first part of October was unseasonably warm, and so we thouroughly enjoyed an afternoon full of fun at the pumpkin patch, petting zoo, corn maze, and park.

{Apple Picking!}

We took advantage of a BEAUTIFUL fall afternoon yesterday by going to Apple Valley apple orchard.- www.applevalleyllc.com to pick some apples.  Anyone looking to pick apples in the Green Bay area - I highly recommend going here, the apples were fantastic, as were the cookies and cider they sold inside:)  It is a beautiful orchard, not very expensive, and they even have a petting zoo!  Going apple picking was one of the things Bob and I were really looking forward to doing with Anna and we Brad and Ann, and Paul and Lois - it was a great time!  And as it turns out, Anna is a big fan of apples - I think she ate two whole apples yesterday.  Below are a few pictures from our adventure!

{A Whirlwind to the End of a Great Summer! - PART 2}

We finished off our week of vacation by going to the last Packer preseason game (had a great time, preseason or not, going to Lambeau is always a treat, and when you combine it with tailgating, beautiful weather, and a Packer win, you can't lose!) and then headed up to Bob's Aunt and Uncle's beautiful place in the UP.  We had such an awesome time, even with some not so nice weather.  Friday was gorgeous, so we took advantage of the weather by doing some tubing and Becky and the boys went fishing.  The rest of the weekend was a little cooler with some rain, so we were able to take advantage of their "game" room and played lots of darts, Wii, ping pong, and cards.  We were able to bring Belle up with us and it was so great to see her break out some of her puppy "spunk" and run on the beach and swim in the water.  Anna loved the sand and fresh air.  Overall it was an awesome weekend and great end to a very fun and busy summer.

{A Whirlwind to the End of a Great Summer! - PART 1}

Bob, Anna, and I just got home and settled back into our normal routine after a week of vacation and fun.  We started last Friday by heading down to Milwaukee to visit with friends from college for the night.  It was so great to see everyone and I just love that our nights together use to consists of drinking and dancing on dressers and now include little ones and all the fun that comes along with them!  Anna did great and loved hanging out with "the big people" and her friend Ava...I don't think she finally crashed until sometime after 11:30 or so!

We came home Saturday morning to get ready to go camping for a few days at Peninsula State Park.  Bob and I went up Sunday night and set everything up and my parents brought Anna up the next day and spent the day with us at the park.  My mom, Anna, and I played at the beach and did some shopping in Fish Creek and Bob and my dad did some bike riding in the park before making dinner at the campsite and my parents had to head back home.  The next day, Bob, Anna, and I went to the beach, bummed around town, and enjoyed the park.  Anna absolutely LOVED the beach.  As a first time beach goer, so didn't waste anytime getting down and dirty and was sooo busy putting sand into her bucket and mixing it around...over and over again:)

Unfortunately, some wet weather threatened to come through the next day, so we decided to pack up and head home early....camping with Anna was tons of fun, but we were not ready to find out what camping with Anna would be like stuck in a pop up for a day while it rained...plus we were anxious to get home and pack for the long Labor Day weekend up north at Bob's Aunt and Uncles.  Below are some pictures from our camping adventure!

Anna loved riding around the park in her pink car!

{Anna's First Locks & Shout Out to Daddy!}

Today was a big day for Anna - not only did she get her feet measured for a first time for her first par of "real" shoes at Stride Rite - (Just to make things interesting, her left foot is almost an entire size smaller than her right), but Anna also had her hair (bangs) cut for the first time!  After many (many!) weeks of mommy protesting, Aunt Elizabeth finally convinced me to let her cut her bangs.  I am happy I did, Anna can clearly see so much better and she looks super cute!  Thank Auntie Elizabeth for doing such a great job with a VERY busy Anna!  She looks great!!!

Pre-Cut!

Thanks Auntie Liz - LOVE IT!

Anna and I would also like to give a quick shout out to Bob - we learned late last week that Bob received a promotion at work!!!  YEAH DADDY!!!  He has been working so hard at work and we know he has been putting his all into his job and still comes home as happy as a clam every night and couldn't be more thankful for his dedication to us and his job - good job daddy - we are so proud of you - you deserve it!  Love you!!!!
Love You Daddy!  You're the best!!!

{Anna's First Birthday Bash}

This past Saturday, we celebrated Anna's first birthday in a big way with her first birthday party with friends and family - a big thank you to all who came to help us celebrate and for all the great birthday gifts - Anna has been such a busy little bee this week playing with all of her new toys!  I enjoyed making party decorations and preparing food and Bob cooked burgers and made sloppy joes for all to enjoy - it was a hot day, which provided a perfect opportunity to use the kiddie pool later on after the party had died down.  After our guests had left, we enjoyed playing yard games outside with the Seidel family and neighbors.  Unfortunately, Anna played so hard at her party, she crashed before she could enjoy her birthday cupcake.  After she woke up from her late afternoon nap and had some dinner, Bob and I enjoyed watching her dig in!

It was a great day complete with good company, drinks, good food, a gift opening and lots of little kiddos playing together!  Enjoy some pictures from Anna's big day!!!
